END OF CURLING SEASON

Our 2012-13 curling season has now come to an end, and what a year it's been! Lots of firsts - our first Grand Slam win, our first Scotties win, and our first medal at the World Women's Curling Championship. Another important first - we finished first on the Canadian Team Ranking System, which guarantees our spot in the Roar of the Rings Canadian Olympic Trials in December.

The planning has begun for next season, and we'll be hard at work in the gym all summer to make sure we're in the best possible shape headed into the Olympic Trials.

Many people helped us along the way and we'd like to send them a thank you:
The Ottawa Police Association (Richard Marcil, Matt Skof, and the board and members of the OPA), ScoreiX (Wes Johnson and George Rayner), Goldline (Erin and Doug Flowers), John Shea Insurance, Trillium Steel Doors (Bill and Jane Guy), the Ottawa Curling Club (Dalal Abou-Eid, Jon Wall, Michael Lowen, and the OCC board and members), the Canadian Curling Association (Gerry Peckham and Elaine Dagg-Jackson), Earle Morris, Natalie Durand-Bush, Stephanie LeDrew, Darren McEwen, Rebecca Glennie, Craig and Holly Homan, all of our amazing families and friends, our patient and supportive employers, our wonderful fans, and last but not least all of the volunteers we met this year at events who give their time for curling. Our sincere thanks to you all!

Enjoy the off-season!
