Ultimate Homan Fan Guide for ROTR

We get asked a lot about how it's going to feel to play in such a big event in our hometown.  It's going to be an incredible experience. One that we get to share with so many fans, friends and family members.  It's like we will have another player on the ice in Ottawa for the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings.

We want to ensure our fans also have an amazing experience while they're cheering us on.  So we're letting you in on some recommendations, tips and important information so you enjoy the Roar of the Rings from opening rock to close.

Support Our Supporters

Even if you can't make it to Ottawa for the event one of the best things you can do to support us is to support our sponsors.  They have helped us get to this level and support us on our journey.  Thank you to them and all of the businesses that support women's curling.

Be Loud. Really Loud!

If you are coming to Ottawa we hope to see you but we really hope to hear you.  We love a loud arena.  We were buoyed by your hometown support in Kingston, Montreal and most recently in St. Catharines. We hope to get Canadian Tire Centre even louder.  There will be prizes for our ultimate fans.  Tickets are still available

We’ve advanced to the championship final after a 6-1 round robin record and a semifinal win over Team Jones. The championship final  is at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, December 10th on Sheet C against Team Carey.

If you're at home watching on TSN (click here for TV broadcast schedule), feel free to be loud on your couch too!  We just ask that you at least video the spectacle, bonus points if there's Pinty's on your TV table and you tag us on social!

Wear White

For our uniforms at the Roar we chose a colour that was familiar to us in winning games.  Bust out your white shirts, white jackets, white hats, white towels and white jeans (sure, why not?) to show your support for us at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Forgot to pack white? Visit one of Ottawa's three lululemon locations to pick up something before the games begin.

Senators Sunday

Sunday, December 3rd we asked fans to fill the Canadian Tire Centre with Sens gear.  The Senators organization is a great supporter of ours and while the team will be on the road that evening in Winnipeg, we felt the local support with all of the red, white and black jerseys, hats and scarves in the stands.  Check out the Sens Store for your Sens gear on the 100 Level or head up to the 200 Level for the Roar of the Rings merchandise inside the second Sens Store.

Be Creative - and win!

We're going to be giving out prizes to the most creative fans in the Canadian Tire Centre throughout the week.  Have some fun with signs or t-shirt designs and you might just leave Ottawa with something signed by us like Egg Farmers of Ontario swag or maybe one of our Pinty's jerseys.

The Patch

Between draws head over to the Bell Sensplex where The Patch will be hosted.  There will be free shuttles between the Canadian Tire Centre and The Patch or, if the weather is decent, it's about a 15-20 minute walk.

It's going to be a long week with late nights and early mornings. Protip: Get some BOOST to get you through it!

Be Social

Our social channels will be buzzing from Friday's event practice, all through opening weekend and the entire event.  Cheer us on across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.  Use the event hashtag #ROTR2017 along with our Ultimate Fan hashtag #HomanIceAdvantage to stay connected with other Team Homan fans.  Look for exclusive Team Homan Snapchat filters at the Canadian Tire Centre and The Patch at various times.

Whether you're in British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador or Section 109 at the Canadian Tire Centre you can connect with us all throughout the event on our social channels.

Ottawa Curling Club

If you're visiting Ottawa and want to check out our home club we encourage you to drop in and grab a drink. Tell them we sent you!  The Ottawa Curling Club is a beautiful facility with lots of history and you can get some photos with our provincial, national and world banners.  The club will have TSN on all throughout the event and is open to the public.

Goldline Pop Up Shop

Head over to Goldline's Pop Up Shop at the Fairfield Marriot in Kanata (around the corner from The Patch).  Our longtime sponsor and curling supplier will be selling the new Air brooms, shoes and much, much more all week long. Look for signs in the area or click here for the address.
