The BOOST National brought us back to competition in Ontario this past week.  The third stop in the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling was at the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.

We finished the round robin with a 3-1 record and headed into the quarterfinals to take on Team Scheidegger. Unfortunately, Saturday's playoff game didn't go our way.

The BOOST National was pool play format with the top eight teams advancing to the playoffs.  Our pool consisted of Teams Fleury, Einarson, Harrison and Englot.

BOOST was the title sponsor of this Pinty's Grand Slam event and is also now a corporate partner of Team Homan.

AROUND OUR HOUSE

The Ottawa Curling Club will be hosting a World Championship Banner Ceremony and Roar of the Rings Send-Off for us on Friday, November 24th at 7 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to attend ahead of our short move out to Kanata later the next week.

The field is now set for the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings in Ottawa next month.  Our team along with eight other women's teams and nine men's teams will be competing at the Canadian Tire Centre from December 2nd to 10th for the chance to represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics.  Tickets are still on sale but they are going very fast.

We want to see our hometown arena, home to our Ottawa Senators, filled and loud for the Roar.  Keep close tabs on our Twitter account over the coming couple of weeks as we'll have exclusive details on how you can support us during the event.  We'll be announcing a couple of special events and what you can wear to support us in the stands.  There will be prizes for some of our fans in the arena too!

We'll be publishing a complete guide to our journey and how you can support us during this exciting week in our hometown right here on our website.  This extensive fan guide will include insider information on how best to enjoy the Roar, what to see and do while following and cheering us on.

During the Roar we'll be in The Patch (Bell Sensplex) on Saturday, December 2nd at 5:30 p.m. for a team autograph session.  On Sunday, December 3rd at 5:30 p.m. members of our team will be back at The Patch to join Team McEwen for an Up Close & Personal segment.

Congratulations goes out to our coach Adam Kingsbury on being honoured with a Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Award.
