We’re in Chatham this week competing in the Grand Slam of Curling Elite 10.
This is the second time we’ve competed in this event and match play format but the first time in a women’s Elite 10. We were invited to join the men’s division in 2016 and we’re thrilled that Sportsnet has added a women’s side with equal prize money this season.
Sportsnet has coverage of the Elite 10 all throughout the event and you can find the broadcast schedule here.
This is our first tour stop of the season and it gives fans their first glimpse at our new gear!
We played four pool games at the Elite 10 before qualifying to the weekend playoffs. We went 2-2 after wins over Sinclair (USA) and a shootout win over Scheidegger (Alberta), and dropped games against Roth (USA) and Hasselborg (Sweden). We got past Scheidegger in our first playoff game and our next game is the semifinal on Saturday, September 29th at 8 p.m. ET against Hasselborg.
Fans have a great opportunity to get their hands on some of signed gear this week. We’re giving away four of our jerseys from the Olympics across our social channels. Check our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for details.
