The 2017-2018 was a season we’ll never forget.
We wanted to thank our fans and sponsors for supporting us from our first Pinty’s Grand Slam in September to the last rock of the Champions Cup where we captured our seventh career Slam and through every rock in between.
Thank you for the loud and supportive cheers inside our hometown arena as we captured the Roar of the Rings in December. It was a dream come true to win one of curling’s toughest events in Ottawa.
Thank you to the curling and corporate communities for supporting our partners and families in their journeys to Pyeongchang. Dozens of items were donated and in a show of support fans amazed us with their genoristy in bidding on these items and donating to our Go Fund Me.
We were disappointed with our results in Pyeongchang but we enjoyed the experience, learned a lot and are so thankful for the support we received. Canadian curling fans were supportive throughout Olympic journey. We want to thank each of you for the encouragement, kind words and gestures we received over the last two months.
Fans, sponsors, family and friends stood by us. Even if we did not achieve what we set out for, we are proud of the efforts we put in. Wearing the Maple Leaf on a curling sheet can be heavy but it is outweighed by the incredible honour and pride you feel every time you get that privilege.
You proudly posted #WeBelieve and we felt the love all the way from Korea.
We were touched to read all of your messages of encouragement as we announced our plans for next season.
As we look forward to a short off season, we’re excited for the 2018-2019 season and our third annual Team Homan Junior Curling Camp. Registration is open for curlers age 12-20. Last season’s camp sold out quickly and this year’s camp is filling even faster.
We’d like to wish all of our fans and sponsors a relaxing and enjoyable summer. We can’t wait to get back on the ice in September.
