First off thank you to our fans, friends, partners and family for their support throughout the season but especially at times like right now. From the Canada Cup in Camrose, Alberta we flew right to Yorkton, Saskatchewan for the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Canadian Open. We're in the midst of a two week stretch away from home.
This year marks the first time women will compete in the Canadian Open. You can catch games on Sportsnet throughout the week and weekend. We've qualified for the playoffs and will play in the final on Sunday at 5 p.m. CT (6 p.m. ET) against Team Muirhead. This Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling event is a triple knockout spiel with eight teams qualifying for the weekend playoffs.
Thanks to our newly announced Scotties coach Richard Hart as he has joined us on the coach's bench for the playoffs. If you missed our announcement regarding our Scotties coach from earlier this week you can read about it here.
This week we’re also giving back to a lucky junior or little rocker curler. We’re looking for stories from them about why they love the sport or why they started curling. Junior or little rocker curlers who post to this thread on our Facebook fan page will have their name entered to win a signed Rachel Homan tour jersey that we’ll ship to them. Feel free to share this contest with your local youth programs, friends or family too. We have busy curling schedules but we love reading these sort of stories to inspire us through the long stretches on the road!
If you're looking to order our team merchandise we're very happy to announce our fans can now do that easily online. Fuzion is what we wear on and off the ice and this is your chance to get your hands on some custom gear!
