Richard Hart joins Team Homan as Scotties Coach

Team Homan is very excited to announce the addition of former world curling champion and Olympic silver medalist Richard Hart to their line-up as coach for the 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
Hart has competed in seven Briers, including an amazing six in-a-row as vice for Team Glenn Howard. The 2007 Brier and world curling champion will continue to play third for the Ontario men’s rink as he balances the success of Team Howard and Team Homan.
“Rich is one of the best thirds to play the game. We’ve all admired his shot-making over the years and have seen how valuable of a team player he can be,” skip Rachel Homan said.
Team Homan made the announcement a day after finishing runner-up at the 2014 Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling. The two-time defending Scotties champions rink of Homan, Emma Miskew, Joanne Courtney and Lisa Weagle is currently ranked third on the 2014-2015 Canadian Team Ranking System.
Hart, an eight time Grand Slam of Curling champion, will join the team in Moose Jaw for the Scotties which will be held at Mosaic Place.

"Obviously I'm thrilled and honoured to be joining Team Homan. To have the opportunity to play even a small role in this team’s run at a third straight Scotties title is beyond exciting for me. I can't wait for February and my first Scotties to get started!" Hart said Monday.
“Our team has had great leadership and input from coaches and mentors over the years with of course Earle Morris and high performance coaches from the CCA. We’re looking forward to the knowledge and experience Richard is going to bring to the team and we couldn't be more excited for the journey ahead," Homan added.
